SS14

SS14 is an MDD surface-mount Schottky rectifier diode commonly selected for power-path rectification, freewheel paths, and reverse-polarity protection. As a Schottky-family device, it is useful where fast switching and a relatively low forward drop are important, while the SMA body supports automated assembly. The downloadable library includes a 2-pin KiCad symbol, the SMA_L4.2-W2.6-LS5.0-RD_1 footprint with two pads, and an included 3D model for checking its board representation. Use of the conversion by 5 ProtoFlow engineers in real designs provides practical verification. The SS14 library assets can be opened directly in ProtoFlow whenever schematic or PCB editing is needed.
