SMBJ20CA-Q1
by AnBon(安邦)Transient suppression on a board often calls for a component connected across the circuit being protected. AnBon's SMBJ20CA-Q1 is a bidirectional TVS diode in the SMB family, used to clamp short voltage excursions. Its bidirectional behavior accommodates transients of either polarity, making polarity behavior a relevant consideration when choosing the protection arrangement. For KiCad, the free download contains a two-pin symbol and the two-pad SMB_L4.5-W3.6-LS5.3-BI footprint, together with a 3D model of the surface-mount package. A real ProtoFlow import was converted into these files and checked in the editor. The TVS diode can be opened directly in ProtoFlow.
