ESP-01 brings ESP8266-family WiFi connectivity to embedded projects through a module interface. The Ai-Thinker part is commonly used to connect controller-based equipment to a wireless network, including projects that communicate with the module over a serial interface. For board integration, this download supplies an 8-pin KiCad symbol and the 8-pad WIFIM-TH_8P-L24.7-W14.4-P2.54 through-hole footprint. The included 3D model helps show how the module sits relative to the carrier board and nearby components. In real designs, 4 ProtoFlow engineers have used this conversion. Open ESP-01 directly in ProtoFlow to work with the supplied library assets.
