The supplied schematic symbol has 8 pins, while the WIFIM-SMD_ESP-20 PCB footprint has 9 pads; those counts are stated separately so the symbol and land pattern can be reviewed as provided. A 3D model is included with the downloadable KiCad files to help inspect the module on the board. The footprint is specific to the ESP-20 module rather than a generic IC package.
