The 2N2222 is a general-purpose NPN bipolar transistor commonly used for small-signal switching and amplification. This DDF version is a three-lead through-hole device, useful where a leaded transistor is preferred for assembly, prototyping, or serviceability. Its KiCad download supplies a 3-pin transistor symbol and the TO-92-3_L5.2-W4.2-P1.27-L footprint with three pads; this particular asset does not include a 3D model.
