by BOOMELE(博穆精密)ICseat-40P is BOOMELE's through-hole socket for a 40-pin DIP device. A socket lets the IC be fitted after soldering and removed later, which is useful for replaceable controllers, firmware experiments and repairable assemblies. The footprint identifies a 2.54 mm pin pitch and 15.2 mm row spacing, helping establish the intended DIP layout. Alongside a 40-pin schematic symbol, the free KiCad files provide the 40-pad DIP-40_L50.8-W17.8-P2.54-LS15.2-BL footprint and a 3D model.
