YONGYUTAI's LM7805 is a fixed-output linear regulator for supplying regulated power to board-level circuitry. Linear regulation makes heat dissipation a relevant layout consideration, and this entry represents the surface-mount TO-263-2 version. Included in the free KiCad files are the TO-263-2_L10.1-W9.1-P5.08-LS15.2-BR-1 footprint with 3 pads, its corresponding 3-pin symbol, and a 3D model. Together, these support schematic connections, copper placement, and a visual review of the package within the assembly. In real designs, 3 ProtoFlow engineers have used the conversion.
