KiCad "Label not connected" ERC error
KiCad electrical rule check (schematic) message: Label not connected (label_dangling in kicad-cli reports).
What it means
A label only joins a net when its connection point sits on a wire or pin. KiCad reports "Label not connected" when the label floats next to the wire instead of on it. The label then names nothing, and the net you think you made does not exist.
Common causes
- Label placed beside a wire rather than on its end or along it.
- Wire deleted after the label was placed.
- Off-grid labels.
How to fix it
- Move the label so its small connection square touches the wire.
- Delete labels that no longer belong to anything.
