KiCad "Symbol pin or wire end off connection grid"
KiCad electrical rule check (schematic) message: Symbol pin or wire end off connection grid (endpoint_off_grid in kicad-cli reports).
What it means
KiCad connects schematic items only where their endpoints land exactly on each other. Pins or wire ends that are off the connection grid (50 mil by default) easily look connected but are not. Snap them back onto the grid.
Common causes
- Symbols from libraries drawn on a metric or 25 mil grid.
- Moving items with a finer grid selected.
- Symbols imported from other tools.
How to fix it
- Select the items and use "Align Elements to Grid", or drag them with the default grid active.
- Fix the library symbol so its pins sit on a 50 mil grid.
