KiCad "Wires not connected to anything" ERC warning
KiCad electrical rule check (schematic) message: Wires not connected to anything (wire_dangling in kicad-cli reports).
What it means
A wire segment touches no pin, label or other wire. It is usually a leftover from editing, but it can also be the end of a connection you meant to make.
Common causes
- Leftover wires after moving symbols.
- A wire that ends just short of a pin.
How to fix it
- Delete the stray wire, or drag its end onto the pin it was meant for.
Find every “Wires not connected to anything” on your board
Upload your KiCad project to the free checker. It runs KiCad 10's DRC and ERC with your own rules, shows each finding on the board and links it to its fix. 10 free checks a day, no account.
