This unidirectional TVS diode diverts surge current when a transient drives the protected node into breakdown. Its axial, through-hole DO-15 package suits layouts built around leaded protection components. Included in the free KiCad files are a two-pin symbol, the two-pad DO-15_BD3.4-L6.4-P10.35-D0.8-FD footprint and a 3D model for viewing the placed component.
