1N4728A
by onsemi(安森美)
Voltage reference and clamping circuits are common uses for the onsemi 1N4728A Zener diode. Unlike a general rectifier, a Zener is intended to operate in reverse breakdown when the surrounding circuit limits current appropriately. This record uses a through-hole DO-41 package, making lead placement and diode orientation relevant during layout. Included in the free KiCad files are a two-pin symbol, the two-pad footprint DO-41_BD2.4-L4.7-P8.70-D0.9-RD, and a 3D model. Verification comes from conversion of a real ProtoFlow import and checks in the editor. The complete part can be opened directly in ProtoFlow.
