When a signal must cross an isolation boundary, SHARP's PC817X2NSZ1B provides the LED and phototransistor arrangement of the PC817 optocoupler family. The input drives the internal LED, while the output is taken from the phototransistor side. For this through-hole variant, the free KiCad files pair a four-pin symbol with the DIP-4_L4.6-W6.5-P2.54-LS7.6-BR footprint and its four pads. A 3D model accompanies them for board inspection. This set came from a real ProtoFlow import that was converted and checked in the editor. Keep the input and output sides distinct in the schematic layout. It can be opened directly in ProtoFlow.
