LM7812CT/NOPB

A fixed 12V rail can be built around TI's LM7812CT/NOPB linear regulator. This three-terminal part uses a through-hole TO-220-3 package, so the schematic connections and board pads need to agree before layout is finalized. The free downloadable KiCad set contains a 3-pin symbol, the 3-pad TO-220-3_L10.2-W4.6-P2.54-L footprint, and a 3D model for checking its placement on the board. Its conversion has been used by 1 ProtoFlow engineer in real designs, providing a direct usage-based verification of the imported files. The regulator can be opened directly in ProtoFlow.
