The Littelfuse SMF5.0A is a transient voltage suppression diode used to protect a circuit node from voltage spikes. Its two-terminal, surface mount form makes footprint orientation and diode polarity relevant during PCB placement. The downloadable KiCad files include a two-pin symbol, the two-pad SOD-123F_L2.8-W1.8-LS3.7-RD footprint, and a 3D model. This conversion has been used in real designs by 1 ProtoFlow engineer, giving the imported part a practical use check. The symbol and footprint can be opened directly in ProtoFlow.
