RTD temperature measurements need an interface between the resistive sensing element and the digital controller. The ADI/MAXIM MAX31865ATP+T serves that role as an RTD-to-digital converter, making it useful in temperature monitoring and control circuits. Its QFN package includes an exposed pad, reflected in the supplied QFN-20_L5.0-W5.0-P0.65-BL-EP footprint. The downloadable KiCad set provides a 21-pin symbol, a footprint containing 25 pads, and a 3D model; the symbol and footprint counts should be considered separately during layout review.
