KiCad "Symbol is not annotated" ERC error
KiCad electrical rule check (schematic) message: Symbol is not annotated (unannotated in kicad-cli reports).
What it means
A symbol still has a placeholder reference such as "R?". KiCad needs a unique reference for every symbol to build the netlist and update the PCB. Run Tools → Annotate Schematic.
Common causes
- New symbols placed after the last annotation.
How to fix it
- Run Tools → Annotate Schematic; keep existing annotations unless you want everything renumbered.
