The MCP9808-E/MS from Microchip measures temperature and reports it over an I2C interface, making it useful for board temperature monitoring and embedded thermal management. Its digital interface lets a microcontroller read temperature without a separate analog measurement circuit. This surface-mount variant uses an MSOP-8 package.
