TONYU's DY-IR-8S302320C-6.5T is an infrared LED in a surface-mount package, suited to the emitter side of infrared signaling or sensing circuits. Infrared emission gives it a different role from a visible status indicator: it supplies light for a compatible optical receiver. In the downloadable KiCad files, a 2-pin symbol is paired with the 2-pad LED-SMD_L3.0-W2.0-R-RD footprint.
