The Espressif ESP32-WROOM-32U is a surface-mount WiFi and Bluetooth module used to add wireless connectivity and embedded control to connected devices. The 32U variant is intended for designs using an external antenna connection, making antenna placement a board-level design consideration. The downloadable KiCad files include a 39-pin module symbol, the WIFIM-SMD_39P-L19.2-W18.0-P1.27 footprint with 39 pads, and a matching 3D model for placement and enclosure review. This conversion has been verified through use in real ProtoFlow designs by 8 engineers during the recorded 120-day period. The module can be opened directly in ProtoFlow.
