TVS510

TVS510 is a Microchip transient voltage suppression diode used to protect circuit nodes from voltage transients. Unlike a series protection component, a TVS diode is typically connected across the node being protected so it can divert transient current. The supplied through-hole library files contain a two-pin symbol and the two-pad DIO-TH_BD3.6-L7.6-P11.60-D0.9-RD footprint, together with a 3D model. All are available in the free KiCad download. The TVS510 conversion has been used in real designs by 1 ProtoFlow engineer, establishing a practical usage history for the files. It is also available to open directly in ProtoFlow.
