P-channel switching applications are the typical setting for Infineon's IRF5305PBF, a power MOSFET in a through-hole TO-220-3 package. It can serve as a controlled switch in power distribution circuits, including high-side arrangements with an appropriate gate drive. The package gives the device a different placement and assembly profile from small surface-mount transistors. Its downloadable KiCad assets include a three-pin symbol, three-pad TO-220-3_L10.0-W4.5-P2.54-T footprint, and 3D model for board visualization.
