Transient protection is the role of the Littelfuse SMAJ20A, a unidirectional TVS diode in a surface-mount SMA package. It is used to clamp brief voltage excursions on supply rails and other protected nodes. Because this is the unidirectional variant, orientation matters when connecting its two terminals. Available free for KiCad, the library assets include a two-pin symbol, the two-pad SMA_L4.3-W2.6-LS5.2-RD footprint, and an included 3D model.
