A 6N137 optocoupler transfers a digital signal across an optical isolation barrier, making it useful at an interface between separated circuit sections. This EVERLIGHT part is supplied as a through-hole DIP-8 device. Its downloadable KiCad library includes an eight-pin symbol and the eight-pad DIP-8_L9.8-W6.6-P2.54-LS7.6-BL footprint, together with a 3D model. The package representation provides a board-level reference for placing the isolated interface and checking the occupied space. In real designs, 1 ProtoFlow engineer has used this conversion. The 6N137 can be opened directly in ProtoFlow.
