An overcurrent protection path is the usual place for the JDTfuse ASMD1812-200, a surface-mount resettable fuse. This component family limits fault current by increasing resistance and can recover after the fault is removed and the device cools. The F1812 footprint identifies its board layout format; operating limits must be chosen to match the protected circuit. Available KiCad files include a two-pin symbol, an F1812 footprint containing two pads, and a 3D model for board visualization.
