The ST TIP31C is an NPN bipolar transistor commonly used where a circuit needs transistor switching or amplification. Its through-hole TO-220-3 package calls for a board footprint distinct from surface-mount transistor outlines. In this KiCad download, the three-pin symbol is paired with the three-pad TO-220-3_L10.0-W4.5-P2.54-T footprint and an included 3D model. A real ProtoFlow import supplied the files, which were converted and checked in the editor. The conversion has been used by 1 ProtoFlow engineer in real designs.
