USART_F
The USART_F record pairs a connector symbol with a through-hole DB9 footprint, making it relevant to boards with an external serial connection. The DB9 designation identifies the connector format; the imported assets contain 11 symbol pins and 11 footprint pads, so their totals should not be treated as the number of signal contacts. Included in the free KiCad download are the symbol, DB9-TH_DT10121-M5N3-4F footprint and a 3D model for inspecting connector placement. These files originated in a real ProtoFlow import, with conversion and checking performed in the editor. The complete part can also be opened directly in ProtoFlow.
