For controllers that do not need a large pin count, the ATTINY85-20PU is an 8-bit AVR microcontroller in a through-hole package. It is commonly selected for compact embedded logic, simple sensor interfaces, and dedicated control functions, while the PDIP format suits sockets, prototypes, and hand-built boards. The downloadable set contains an 8-pin schematic symbol, the 8-pad PDIP-8_L9.3-W6.4-P2.54-LS7.9-BL-1 footprint, and a 3D body model.
