The ESP8266EX is Espressif’s Wi-Fi system-on-chip, intended for designs that need integrated wireless networking and embedded control at IC level. Unlike a preassembled radio module, this device is placed directly on the PCB, making its QFN land pattern and exposed-pad handling central to layout. The download provides a 33-pin KiCad symbol, the 33-pad QFN-32_L5.0-W5.0-P0.50-BL-EP3.7 footprint, and an included 3D model for mechanical review. Its conversion has been used by 8 ProtoFlow engineers in real designs and checked through that workflow. The ESP8266EX library entry can also be opened directly in ProtoFlow.
