AMS1117-3.3 is an Advanced Monolithic Systems fixed-output linear regulator used to derive a regulated supply rail for digital, analog, and mixed-signal circuits. The AMS1117 family is a three-terminal regulator, while this library representation exposes four symbol pins to account for the package tab connection. The downloadable KiCad set contains a four-pin symbol, the SOT-223-3_L6.5-W3.4-P2.30-LS7.0-BR footprint with four pads, and an included STEP 3D model for board and mechanical review.
