The SWD740D from Samwin is a three-terminal SMD discrete device supplied in a TO-252-3 style package. In a design, its symbol gives the three connections a place in the schematic, while the package footprint defines where the device lands on the PCB. The free KiCad download contains a 3-pin symbol, the TO-252-3_L6.5-W5.8-P4.58-BR footprint with 3 pads, and a 3D model. Check the terminal assignments against the device documentation when connecting it to a circuit; the package alone does not establish each terminal’s function. This library item comes from a real ProtoFlow import that was converted and checked in the editor. It can also be opened directly in ProtoFlow.
