Microphone signals can vary substantially with sound level and source distance. The MAX9814ETD+T addresses this in audio input circuits by combining microphone amplification with automatic gain control. This ADI/MAXIM device uses a surface-mount TDFN package with an exposed pad, making the complete pad pattern relevant to layout. The downloadable assets contain a 15-pin KiCad symbol and the 15-pad TDFN-14_L3.0-W3.0-P0.40-BL-EP footprint, together with a 3D model for checking its position in the assembly.
