USB-to-Ethernet adapter designs use controllers such as the Realtek RTL8153-VC-CG to bridge a host's USB connection to a wired network interface. This surface-mount device uses a QFN footprint with an exposed pad. Although the footprint name identifies QFN-48, the library entry contains 49 symbol pins and 49 footprint pads, accounting for the exposed-pad connection. The free download includes the symbol, QFN-48_L6.0-W6.0-P0.40-TL-EP4.4 footprint, and a 3D model for board visualization.
