The imported LED0402-RD footprint has two pads corresponding to the two-pin symbol, so both the schematic connection and board land pattern are available together. The free verified KiCad files include that symbol, the LED0402-RD footprint, and a 3D model for viewing the placed part on a board. This conversion has been used by 1 ProtoFlow engineer in real designs. SML-P12UTT86R can also be opened directly in ProtoFlow.
