The TI TL431BCDBZR is an adjustable shunt regulator used for voltage references and power-supply feedback. Its reference input allows an external resistor network to set the regulation point, making it useful where a fixed reference alone would not suit the circuit. This surface-mount version uses a SOT-23-3 package.
