ES8388 is an Everest Semiconductor audio codec used to bridge digital audio processing and analog audio signals. Its integrated conversion functions make it applicable to embedded audio products that need both recording and playback paths around a processor or controller. For KiCad, the download supplies a 29-pin schematic symbol plus the 29-pad QFN-28_L4.0-W4.0-P0.45-BL-EP footprint, where the extra pad accounts for the exposed center pad. The included 3D body supports height, orientation, and placement review during PCB development. This imported conversion has been used by 2 ProtoFlow engineers in real designs, providing real-world confirmation of the library mapping. It can be opened directly in ProtoFlow to continue the schematic or PCB design.
