by ZilogZilog's Z84C0008PEG brings a Z80-family CPU to through-hole processor boards, including retrocomputing builds and systems using external memory and peripherals. The processor's bus connections are represented in a 40-pin symbol, while its physical placement uses a 40-pad PDIP footprint. Both are included in the free KiCad download: the footprint is PDIP-40_L52.3-W13.7-P2.54-LS15.5-BL, and a 3D model accompanies it for assembly inspection. A real ProtoFlow import was the basis of the conversion, which was checked in the editor. Open this CPU directly in ProtoFlow to work with its schematic and board assets.
