NXP’s PCA9685PW,112 is a PWM controller used when a host needs dedicated hardware to manage repeated pulse-width-modulated outputs, including LED control and similar multi-output applications. It keeps that output function in a separate interface IC rather than assigning the task entirely to the main controller. For KiCad, the download supplies a 28-pin schematic symbol, the TSSOP-28_L9.7-W4.4-P0.65-LS6.4-BL land pattern with 28 pads, and a 3D package model. Two ProtoFlow engineers have used this conversion in real designs, adding usage-based verification to the editor checks.
